Good morning and happy Wednesday everyone!
Pre-Market movement will come at 8:30am EST with CPI data coming out.
Who truly knows what will happen, but you can always create expectations.
Personally, I am hoping we get good CPI data, but that is just an opinion. With the price of gasoline coming down on average roughly 7% over the course of the month, a significant amount of costs will be reduced for the majority of individuals as this impacts the whole supply chain.
Obviously, this is just my personal opinion and will either be validated or my thoughts will have to adjust when data comes out.
Regardless of what data comes out, there will be a significant increase in volatility and momentum. Expect the markets to chop around a significant amount today,

Thoughts & Comments from 7/12/2022
Yesterday was an intense day for the markets. There was a significant amount of chop and unfortunately for most a significant amount of unrealized losses. Hopefully you were all able to capitalize on the volatility and momentum.
To give you a perspective of the movement… $SPY was moving up into open, made a new high right around $386, and then almost consistently, sold off to $379. $SPY closed the day at $380.83 −3.40 (0.88%).
Intraday movement: -0.73%, High/Low: -1.7%~
Terrible day for the markets. but many great opportunities to actively trade and scalp throughout the day.
I personally had a great time actively trading $SPY and had a lot of success doing so yesterday, and I hope you guys all did too.

Thoughts & Comments for Today 7/13/2022
Today will be an interesting day for the markets. I expect an increase in volatility with CPI data coming out and people anxiously waiting for not only CPI, but the aftermath and direction the markets decide to go.
Like I said before, I am optimistic about CPI data, but I am realistic about the current market conditions. I will be excited watching what is happening, but I realistically am prepared for what would be considered the “worst case scenario”.
Markets are going to be extremely choppy today. There will be many great trading opportunities, but today is not the kind of conditions you’d want to actively be forcing any trades or FOMOing into any plays. If you lose a play due to chop, don’t be that trader and force yourself back in.
Lots of people will get hurt today due to the market conditions. Just please be extremely careful while trading, practice safe risk management and limit them amount of general exposure and risk you have in the markets in these current conditions.

It was a great day to actively navigate the market. If you blindly followed the algorithms, you would have been able to passively beat the market, if you were actively managing your portfolio and capital, while following me on our exit, you would have been able to realize some nice intraday gains.

Swing Opportunities:
Continue to look into selling option contracts, with volatility increasing at the moment and the prices of equities decreasing. This is a great time to sell CSPs on equities that you have, at a price you are comfortable taking assignment at. Volatility is not as high as it was before, but there still is that increased volatility that you can capitalize on with the extra cash you have set aside right now.
I would not look into trying to time out any plays right now in the markets while trying to get a swing opportunity, but still continue to DCA on equity and if you are looking to average down on long equities that you don’t have the best average with, make sure to start slowly averaging down as we should see relatively better prices coming up over the next couple weeks.
