Thoughts & Comments from Yesterday - 08/06/2026

Yesterday was a slightly weak day for the general markets. Conditions were not overly destructive, but it was a tough day for anyone who attempted to trade any direction. There was so much chop and inconsistencies throughout the day despite a tight general range. Anyone and everyone could have realized some gains but it involved a little bit of luck and the right allocations. I hope that you all were able to print yesterday and had an amazing time in the process!

We started yesterday with $SPY trading at $770.16. General market conditions were alright as we opened the day green, and were instantly met with some volatility. $SPY dropped to test $770, and then we watched as $SPY bounced beautifully from the bottom and went on to quickly make the official high of the day, trading at $771.81, within the first hour or so of the day.

At the top, general market conditions looked strong, but as the morning progressed, we watched as $SPY only continued to drop leading into the lunchtime lull.

During the lunchtime lull, general market conditions were less than ideal. We watched as $SPY made new lows of the day, trading around $768, and remained around that level until the back half of the afternoon, when $SPY made the official low of the day at $767.48.

The markets bounced up ever so slightly leading into close, which at least was a great sign, as $SPY did attempt to break $770 once again during power hour, but did not have enough strength, resulting in us quickly selling off and bouncing leading into close, where we officially ended the day with $SPY trading at $768.56. This means that overall for the day, $SPY was down $1, or down roughly 0.16%.

I am not saying that yesterday was a great day for the markets; it really was not, but at the same time, with the general market conditions remaining strong and retaining the levels we are at, I will say that these conditions are great and everyone should be excited about the opportunities that are presented to us. Life is good and so are these market conditions. I hope you all were able to capitalize on yesterday and are excited about where the markets are going to take us today!

Thoughts & Comments for Today - 08/07/2026

Today is going to be a spicy way to end the week. With the week we are having at the moment, I feel that this is going to be another one of those days that anything can genuinely happen at anytime. We are at previous highs, we are testing rejection points, but at the same time there is both strength and confusion. So please, go into today with the understanding that there is going to be volatility, and that these conditions will be difficult to navigate.

But, given the current market conditions and the way that everything is set up, it is almost hard not to remain optimistic and excited about these conditions. Life is good and we are seeing confidence across the board. We are trending at all-time highs, traders are confident, and I do not see a reason why the markets NEED to come down, but it is just a matter of IF they will come down from here.

I do want to warn you all again, all we need for some selling to occur is just some simple war news being released or just a little bit of selling pressure which results in a larger bearish movement happening. So, if you are attempting to trade today, make sure you do everything in your power to maximize your profit potential, and follow the larger trends.

For myself personally, there are only a couple positions I am willing to take at this point. I will be looking at option trades later in the day, but throughout the trading day, the only thing that I am looking for is active positions with equities. No options on an intraday basis, no holding 0-DTE’s today and praying, but just simple and easy equity trades. Will be looking to scalp oversold organizations that are preparing for a breakout, and looking to short organizations that are heavily overbought. Assuming there is volatility in these market conditions, I do not see a reason why opportunities won’t consistently present themselves.

I will say that I do not advise attempting to trade 0-DTE’s today. This is unlike a couple of days ago, when we were experiencing bullish confidence. On Wednesday I was all for attempting to take on more risk, but on a day like today, I will say that that risk is not worth it. Contracts are going to be expensive, traders are going to be inconsistent, and people will have difficulties with the intraday momentum presented as a result.

But I will say, there still is one time every week that I feel that 0-DTE option contracts are a little bit more fun.

Before I say anything, as always nothing said is financial advice nor a signal to buy or sell any positions. I am not a financial advisor, nor is this to be considered as such.

BUT, 0-DTE friday’s are my favorite time to trade.

I do not hear many people talking about this, but this is where I personally believe the markets have some of the best risk-to-reward, as well as instant gratification.

If you want to trade 0-DTE option contracts, I believe that the final hour or so of the trading day today will be an amazing time to scalp and trade these 0-DTE’s for pennies on the dollar.

Throughout the day, there are going to be organizations that sell off and do not trend, and that will randomly decide to have a large directional move into the final hour of the day. If you are able to find an at-the-money option contract that is cents out of the money, you can get a significant amount of exposure for almost nothing. Last week we were looking at $RBLX options, where the contracts we were watching were like $0.25 OTM, and for $30, you were able to get like $4,000 worth of bullish exposure. I believe I ended up purchasing roughly $25,000 worth of bullish exposure for $150~.

If I am wrong, I would have lost 100% of the $150 I put into the position; at the same time, under the assumption that the position goes ITM, it has the same strong bullish exposure as a $25,000 long position.

That position went beautifully in the money and provided us with a great opportunity to exit for, I believe, a 250%~ gain. Obviously we were happy that everything worked out perfectly, but just know that if that position was 1% wrong, 100% of losses would have been generated. But as long as you managed risk during the process, I do not see any better risk-to-reward opportunities in the markets. Like imagine you purchase a contract that is $0.25 OTM for pennies on the dollar, and then watch as it goes $2-3-5 ITM before close, making your contract rip up 1000%+ in the same timeframe. Again, I am not saying that will happen, but within that final half hour or so of the day, you will see some insane opportunities like that pop up. So if you want to gamble and take on some risks, make sure to tune in about an hour and change before markets close, and then make the most out of conditions that way. It’s a lot of fun, and as long as you make some strong positions, I don’t see a reason why it can’t work out.

So just be smart and safe leading into today, and let’s have some fun with what the markets provide for us!

If I see any opportunities, or if I decide to get into any other plays, I’ll announce what I see in the HaiKhuu Discord.
