HaiKhuu Daily Report - 08/17/2026
Good morning and happy Monday! Man, these market conditions are awesome. I hope you all are ready for what is going to be another great week and hopefully more all-time highs!
Markets are up slightly at the time of writing this report, but honestly, this has been one large mixed bag of performance with the markets trending the way that they are. We are pretty much trading at all-time highs on $SPY, and are actively testing the previous high, so I hope you all are ready for this performance, and are excited about where the markets are about to take us.
General market conditions are strong; traders should be confident, but the real question is: how confident are you in your ability to navigate this short-term volatility? Life is good, and so are these market conditions, so let’s enjoy all the opportunities presented to us and have an amazing time!
This is going to be a crazy week full of earnings and economic data, so please also make sure to check out the WEEKLY PREVIEW to prepare accordingly!
Good luck trading this week, and let’s see some new all-time highs!
The updated $SPY daily levels are as follows:
Conversion Line Support: $769.94
Baseline Support: $754.24
Psychological Support: $760
Previous All-Time High: $779.37
Daily Cloud Support: $736.49
Thoughts & Comments from Last Week
Last week was a confusing time for the general markets. We watched generalized neutrality that was difficult to navigate, and we watched traders either printing with the general market momentum or taking minor losses. Hopefully you all had a lot of fun and were able to capitalize on some of the runners that were called out, and had an amazing time. Regardless of everything, I just want to congratulate everyone again for surviving this long in these market conditions, as $SPY has officially made a new all-time high!!!
We started last week with $SPY trading at $772.63. General market conditions were strong, and traders were optimistic leading into the new week. Monday was relatively slow, staying within an extremely choppy range, while Tuesday was slightly bearish. We ended Tuesday with $SPY trading at $770.56 and started to move up slightly afterward. We bounced prior to opening on Wednesday, opening Wednesday trading at $774.71, but ended Wednesday with $SPY trading at $772.49.
This is where things started to get spicy. After we Wednesday, $SPY was essentially neutral from open on Monday and conditions were obviously less than ideal, on Thursday, $SPY decided to break out and make a new all-time high. We opened the day with $SPY trading at $774.87 and it continued to move up throughout the day, going on to make the official high of the week and an all-time high of $779.37 before coming back down on Friday.
Friday is where market conditions started to look rougher. After making the all-time high on Thursday, we watched $SPY open the day at $778.58, the highest-ever recorded open on $SPY, show minor strength as we made the official high of the day at $778.79, before starting to faceplant. $SPY dropped after chopping around for the first hour or so, and continued to make new lows throughout the entire day. We sold off into the lunchtime lull where $SPY made a relative low, breaking below $776, watched as general markets bounced slightly to only sell right back off. We made the official low of the day at $775.44, then watched a minor bullish recovery leading into the close. We officially ended last week with $SPY trading at $776.34, meaning we were up roughly $4 from the open price for the week, or up roughly 0.5% overall.
What I will say about last week's market conditions is that they were great for those with proper allocations, yet extremely difficult and inconsistent to capitalize on. Hopefully you all were able to maximize your profit potential and realize some gains in the process, but it was one of those scenerios where market conditions were tough, hopefully you all were able to watch some magic occur on Friday though, as we alerted multiple 100%+ runners in succession. So, now it is a matter of seeing where the markets decide to take us this month, and have an amazing time in the process. Life is good and so are these market conditions, so go on and realize some gains this week, and let’s have some fun!
S&P 500 Heat Map - 08/14/2026
Thoughts & Comments for Today - 08/17/2026
Today will be an interesting way to start the week. We are seeing generalized confusion as a result of the current placement of the markets. It is not that these market conditions are bad, but traders just do not know how to react confidently. With the strength traders are experiencing, it is almost going to be hard not to be optimistic going into today, but it is essential to be slightly skeptical at this time.
Please go into this week understanding that $SPY is less than 0.5% away from making a new all-time high, and it is very possible that the markets only continue to rally, but the question is, how far will we rally from here, and how confident are traders going to be as a result. Obviously, it will be a little more difficult navigating the short term momentum of the markets as we play within a tight and choppy range, but this is why I recommend attempting to allocate into single name stocks versus attempting to allocate into indexes due to the general inconsistencies we are seeing, but just remember that opportunity will always be amongst us.
Some of the organizations I will be watching heavily this week will be the semis & chip sector again. Many of these names are overpriced, but given the current market conditions and trends, many of them have dropped heavily over the previous week and are going to make trading exponentially easier to attempt to buy the dip and allocate accordingly.
There will be some organizations that will be a little bit more confusing to attempt to watch and trade, but three companies I am very interested in watching today are going to be $ORCL, $SPCX and $PTLO.
With $ORCL moving back up beautifully and general market conditions displaying strength, this organization should only continue to trend the way that it has over the previous couple of weeks. Ideally the markets only continue to rally, but given the general conditions, it will be interesting to see what happens. I still believe that given the right headlines and general market momentum, $ORCL can rally stupidly hard.
Next is $SPCX, with the inconsistencies of these market conditions, we have watched as $SPCX has rallied almost 40% from the bottom. I still do believe that the organization iks heavily overvalued and no one should consider allocations in the organization until there is 100% share availability, but if you are looking to actively scalp or day trade, $SPCX respects technical analysis beautifully and traders will be presented with some great opportunities to allocate with the trend.
And final play I am going to be heavy watching this week is goingn to be $PTLO. With the current market conditions and the way that everything is trending, I believe that in the near future we are going to see a flight to safety, meaning that consumer facing brands will continue to perform well, mostly while organizations like $NVDA come back down towards reality. So I am not saying that $PTLO is going to go rip 100% over the next week, but it will 100% be something we have to consider allocating into and out of here in the short term.
Regardless of everything though, please just make sure to practice safe risk management in these conditions as the best of traders will have an amazing time, yet those who are forcing allocations they are not comfortable with are going to make the worst positions. So have some fun this week, realize some gains, and take advanage of the generalized strength we are seeing. Life is good and so are these conditions. Much love everyone and let’s have an amazing time!!!
If I see any opportunities, or if I decide to get into any other plays, I’ll announce what I see in the HaiKhuu Discord.
