HaiKhuu Daily Report - 08/26/2026
Good morning and happy Wednesday! Man, this week has been absolutely flying by, and I hope you all are ready for another interesting day for the markets. Welcome to Hump Day, and hopefully market conditions get better today.
We have now officially seen EIGHT red days in a row on the $SPY daily; traders are becoming a little more anxious, and we are waiting for $NVDA earnings after hours today. Please continue to prepare for irrationality in the general markets and understand the inconsistencies that will come in these market conditions.
The general market momentum is obviously less than ideal, but it is simply just a part of life at this point. Life is good, and so are these market conditions, so I hope you all are ready for what the markets have in store for us today and are ready to make the most of this short-term volatility!
Let’s see where $SPY wants to take us, and have a great time!
The updated $SPY daily levels are as follows:
Conversion Line Support: $770.70
Baseline Support: $754.24
Psychological Support: $760
Previous All-Time High: $779.64
Daily Cloud Support: $742.09
Thoughts & Comments from Yesterday - 08/25/2026
Yesterday was a nasty day for the general markets. As I said before, it became the EIGHTH red day in a row. We are less than 2% away from a new all-time high, which is reassuring that these conditions are stronger than the data presents, but it is still less than ideal. Hopefully you all were able to capitalize on short-term momentum and realize some gains as we had some absolutely amazing performances yesterday in the markets! But hey, such is simply life. I hope you all had a wonderful time and made the most of the inconsistencies!
We started yesterday with $SPY trading at $766.18. General market conditions were strong at open on positive war news, and then we watched as $SPY popped quickly from the open and made the official high of the day, trading at $766.76, before coming back down quickly. Within the first two hours of the day, we went from $SPY high, to $SPY official low as $SPY sold off straight for about two hours, continually making new lows of the day, and making the official low of the day trading at $763.08.
Conditions were rough at the bottom, but thankfully we bounced back up beautifully, watching as $SPY pushed up leading into the lunchtime lull, and watched as things continued to rally into the early afternoon, where $SPY went on and tested $766.
The entire afternoon was essentially one big chop fest between $765 and $766, but we did watch as $SPY attempted to break out once again leading into power hour, dropped, and pumped again slightly into close, where we went on and officially ended the day with $SPY trading at $765.91, up $2.50 for the day, or up roughly 0.3% overall.
What I will say about yesterday is that again, it was less than ideal overall. It would have been great to see a combo breaker, a beautiful day for the markets as we rip back above the previous support levels, but again, such is simply life. Anyone overly bearish would have had a tough time capitalizing on yesterday, but regardless of everything, life is good and so are these market conditions. So let’s just see what the markets have in store for us today, and do everything in our power to realize some gains!
S&P 500 Heat Map - 08/25/2026
Thoughts & Comments for Today - 08/26/2026
Today hopefully is the combo breaker we’ve been waiting for in the markets. If today is another red day, this will be the 9th official red daily candle in a row, meaning that this will be TWO weeks of continued selling from the previous all-time high. Obviously, that is not ideal, but given the current market conditions and the volatility we are experiencing, it is almost hard not to be overly optimistic leading into today.
One of these days, the markets are going to have an irrational breakout that we can easily capitalize on with confidence; the issue becomes when does that day happen, and is it going to be today?
We do have some economic news coming out during the pre-market session that will impact the markets, but I do not think that it is reasonable to assume that the markets are going to move up irrationally as a result. So please, regardless of whatever you are attempting to do or however you attempt to trade, please make sure that you are practicing safe risk management and be realistic with your expectations.
The markets inevitably WILL break out, but whether it happens today or not is a completely separate question.
But, just know when there is that confirmation of a reversal, conditions are going to be beautiful, and you are going to regret not having more long exposure.
So, now let’s talk about a couple of interesting plays.
As a reminder, I have sold off 100% of my Solana. I do anticipate re-entering “soon” but have no definitive timeframe in the short term.
There is one organization that has caught my eye. After earnings yesterday, $DKS, DICK'S Sporting Goods, fell roughly 30%. The stock dropped from $180 all the way down to $124 yesterday. I am not saying that I love the organization nor that they are going to recover beautifully, but after a major selling event like this, it is hard not to keep your eyes on the organization. So, you shouldn’t go all in, but given the current market conditions, keep your eyes on the organization. Once the selling stops, there will be a great buy-the-dip opportunity as the organization is oversold; the real question is when that happens.
The other organization I do want to talk about is $NVDA. So, we have $NVDA earnings after hours today. I am not saying that earnings are going to be good or bad, and for the sake of the markets, I hope that everything is good, but given the current market conditions and the sentiment of traders, I think that it is going to be difficult attempting to allocate for $NVDA earnings specifically at this point.
If you are attempting to trade $NVDA, my advice for you is to stay away from option contracts. Options are going to be extremely expensive as IV is through the roof headed into earnings, and at the same time, given the current conditions of the markets, that uncertainty makes the gamble too risky. Please stay away from option contracts; I believe that the large majority of individuals will be burned as a result of the IV crush, and only those with specific contracts will get lucky enough to capitalize on the conditions properly.
The easiest way to be able to trade $NVDA earnings will be simply trading shares. You will be able to place limit orders and exit your position anytime before or after the call, so in the case you go long and everything pops, you don’t have to wait after hours, pray the call goes well, wait until open, and hope that your position is positive after taking into account the mathematics of the play. It is simply: $NVDA is +$1 a share, you’re +$1 a share, and you can exit right now.
You don’t have to pay a premium to get into or out of a position, and you are able to capitalize on short-term momentum and get solvency in a way that the large majority of traders are not able to.
Just make sure you do everything you can to enjoy these market conditions, and do everything in your power to realize some gains. I think that this is going to be a lot of fun with some great opportunities to scalp, so enjoy the opportunities presented to us and have an amazing time!
If I see any opportunities, or if I decide to get into any other plays, I’ll announce what I see in the HaiKhuu Discord.
