What Happened And Why?
First off, big shoutout to our long term analyst Vlad. Not only did his long term portfolio beat the market, it also beat every algorithm we have. Incredible day!
Positive market moves helped carry our higher-beta systems. Looking at our algorithms’ intraday values, you can see that The Base Algorithm and Neural Net look fairly similar to $SPY today (albeit higher).
Good Vibrations was our only real loser today, with slightly negative returns. Breaking things down by individual tickers, results are also pretty nice.
Our holdings were all mostly positive today. The biggest exception here is BRK-B. It tumbled 1.28% intraday, and with both Kokomo and GoodVibrations allocating > 8% of their capital into it, we took some losses. If we hadn’t taken this position, Kokomo would have returned 0.425%, and GoodVibrations just -0.06%. All in all, today’s performance was pretty good - especially if you were long the market and chose either our Base Algorithm, or the Platinum-Exclusive Neural Net system.
Tomorrow’s Outlook
The full algorithm reports will be published tomorrow morning, once Allen has had a chance to vet them. Tentatively, here’s each algorithm’s exposures tomorrow:
If you’re following the full Base Algo or Neural Net report, you’re looking at some pretty heavy positive exposures - but if you’re bullish on the market tomorrow, that might be exactly what you want.
Kokomo and GoodVibrations, as intended, are both more hedged. The only sectors I’d really look out for with Kokomo are Consumer Staples and Utilities. With GoodVibrations, you practically don’t need to watch any of them. If you think the market is shaky tomorrow, these are for you.
That’s all for today. Congrats to everyone who put money into the Base Algo, Neural Net, or just followed the trading bot yesterday. Thanks for reading and happy trading tomorrow.
