Markets are coming down unfortunately at the time of writing this report. I hope you guys are all prepared and have active hedges going into today. $SPY when writing this report is currently trading at $407.64. Hopefully, we will rebound by open.
Thoughts & Comments from 8/01/2022
Yesterday was an extremely volatile day for the stock market. We started the morning by having a beautiful run-up, we came down to VWAP and rallied back to make a high of $413.41 on $SPY. After making a high, we tested the high again, unfortunately, came down to just above $409, and moved up to close.
$SPY closed the day at $410.77, just below VWAP. Obviously, it could have been a significantly better day for the markets, but C’est la vie. Overall, $SPY came down −$1.22 (0.30%). Pretty flat day for the markets, but many great opportunities to actively realize some gains playing either the bullish or the bearish side.
$HKD was an absolutely interesting play. I hope someone in the community caught it, but please do not FOMO in at this point. We saw a NASDAQ volatility halt with HKD making a low of $278.51. It 3x by close, closing at $742 and making a high of $966.02 after hours. Absolutely insane play. Very interesting to watch. Lots of people are going to get burnt on HKD, please do not FOMO into that play and get burnt in the process.

Thoughts & Comments for Today 8/02/2022
Today should be an extremely interesting day. Markets are down slightly from close, and there are many bearish signs for the markets today.
Just because there are signs of the markets being bearish today, does not mean there are not many great opportunities to make a significant amount of realized gains.
If you are doing anything risky, please make sure to have stop losses in place, do not FOMO back into any plays but capitalize on all of the opportunities that are available. Follow the trends for the day, hedge your portfolio and start to minimize the amount of risks that are possible while trading.
Be quick with your trades, don’t be greedy, and realize gains.
Personally, I do not think I will be trading as much today, but when I do they will be general scalps with $SPY, either going long when I have an opportunity to do so or short when $SPY is overbought. These trades will have tight stops and will assure that I am able to actively minimize the amount of risk necessary to be profitable.

With the current market conditions, we had to decide between holding cash today or utilizing a market-neutral strategy. We will be utilizing Kokomo today so we can still get exposure to the market while actively still having hedges just in case.

Swing Opportunities:
I’d recommend starting to sell OTM CC’s on equities you’ve purchased over the past few days to be able to actively hedge your portfolio in the case of a downturn. This limits your possible upside potential, but in the case, that market conditions get worst, you are able to at least realize some gains in the process.
I would not look into trying to time out any plays right now in the markets while trying to get a swing opportunity, but still continue to DCA on equity and if you are looking to average down on long equities that you don’t have the best average with, make sure to start slowly averaging down as we should see relatively better prices coming up over the next couple weeks.
