Jeff - Technical Analyst
About me
Greetings, my name is Jeff. I’m an equity trader in Haikhuu. I joined the company in 2018 during the China-United States trade war.
I’m based in Houston, Texas, and am a self-taught stock trader. When I set off to learn how to trade on the stock market, I’d spend weekends in the bookstore finance section, reading all the books about stock trading that I found helpful.
I’ve been trading full-time on the stock market since 2014. I started testing various trading strategies and indicators about a year before opening a brokerage account with Scottrade ELITE; I used ThinkorSwim when TD Ameritrade purchased Scottrade.
The semiconductor sector of the market is what I specialize in, and I primarily use the Ichimoku Cloud indicator set as my bread and butter for technical analysis. Still, I’m not opposed to using other trading indicators.
Over my years of trading on the stock market, I’ve found that the psychological aspect of stock trading seems to be the biggest hurdle that traders, new and old, deal with. “Confidence is transient; discipline is permanent.” This is the mindset I have when it comes to stock trading. Confidence is nothing without discipline, it’s good to have confidence in your trading, but it’s more important to be emotionally disciplined because if you’re not able to control your decision due to making emotional turmoil, you’re very likely to fail long term even if you’re using the most effective trading strategy in the world.
What HaiKhuu means to me
Being a part of Haikhuu Trading and interacting with the community over the years has been a very gratifying experience. I enjoy teaching others what I’ve learned over the years and sharing what I find compelling on the stock market. Not only that, but I’m learning new things from community members who have different ideas and approaches to engaging the stock market. If I had known about active stock trading communities like Haikhuu Trading that I could have joined when I first started on my dive into stock trading, I would have learned quickly and jumped over more trial-and-error difficulties since I’d have a community of like-minded people to talk to, and mentors to learn from.
My goal is to help create a community of traders that love teaching new traders the tools and strategies to obtain consistent gains and veteran traders who are constantly seeking ways to improve their returns. If you’re interested in being a part of the community, you can join us here.
