Vlad - Head Investment Analyst

About me:

My name is Vlad, and I am the Head Investment Analyst and Portfolio Manager at HaiKhuu. I graduated from San Jose State University with a bachelor’s degree in Finance with honors. I worked at a fintech investment bank the summer before I joined HaiKhuu. I decided to join HaiKhuu because I love the community and what the organization stands for, and the high growth potential of our excellent team.

I have always loved analyzing empirical data to find the answers to my wide range of interests. One of my most significant interests in finance is that everyone in the world depends on the financial system, and improvements in the system have raised everyone’s standard of living across the globe.

I have read tons of books and studies on the markets. Out of everything I read, the most significant influences on my investment style are Warren Buffett, Benjamin Graham, Philip Fisher, and Aswath Damodaran. I highly recommend learning finance from them, as they are some of the best people from whom to know Valuation.

What I do as the head analyst:

My role as the Head Analyst and Portfolio Manager is to calculate the intrinsic value of companies based on financial/quantitative models and economic/industry research. After I find undervalued companies, I make a list based on parameters such as economic expectations and business cycles for the year.

We have made many different portfolios for various situations for our algorithms. Still, we have one leading portfolio that we make each year and rebalance when new data changes our initial conditions. So far, we have not needed to rebalance the portfolio much this year, as we have been outperforming the market by a significant margin with a lower standard deviation. Our goal as an organization is to consistently provide our investors and members sustainable excess returns for minimal risk to gain financial freedom.
